Lebanese authorities indicate that 2 people have died from complications induced by the COVID19 coronavirus in the past 24 hours. 207 people have also tested positive for the virus.
At least 100 people have been infected with the Delta variant of the virus, estimates Hassan Diab’s health advisor Pétra Khoury. She notes that it is said to be on the rise in Lebanon before calling for more people to agree to be vaccinated.
Good news in this regard, more than a million Lebanese are now first vaccinated. 2,764 people were vaccinated a first time and 116 people received a second dose this Sunday. A total of 1,003,178 people received a first dose and 504,795 people received both doses.
