Public Works and Transport Minister Ali Hamieh announced that 91 planes will arrive at Beirut International Airport today.
On board, specifies the minister, expatriates from the countries of the world in Lebanon who will renew by this gesture their confidence in the Lebanon of hope, “in Lebanon of wealth and in Lebanon of convergence and coexistence.”
This information comes as 66 aircraft have already arrived yesterday in the Land of the Cedars, a country which hopes for a massive arrival of foreign currencies while the parity of the Lebanese pound against the dollar has largely deteriorated for several months, reaching even its highest point. -historical low to the tune of 29,000 LL / USD. This measure is thus encouraged by the Association of Banks in Lebanon, private establishments thus reducing their losses to the detriment of depositors, many of whom would be present on the occasion of the end-of-year celebrations.
