The minister reiterated his threats, indicating that politicians will face the consequences of the failure to form a new cabinet when restrictions have already been put in place on the movement of some politicians in Europe. Other sanctions could be put in place, indicates Jean-Yves le Drian who has not, however, revealed the identity of the people so far targeted by these sanctions.

As a reminder, the French minister had met yesterday with the President of the Republic General Michel Aoun, the president of the chamber Nabih Berri and questions related to a possible meeting with the prime minister designate Saad Hariri which could only take place. at the last minute at the Palais des Pins and not at the Maison du Center, proof of new tensions between France and the latter while French diplomatic sources accused him of only supporting the Paris initiative in words and not in action.
