The services of the Ministry of Health seized a large quantity of drugs intended to be sold on the black market. The merchandise was stored in an apartment which was located in Chiyah.
Present on the spot to announce the success of this operation, the outgoing Minister of Health, Hamad Hassan accused “certain mafias” of wanting to wait until the end of the subsidy program for the purchase of drugs to finally sell them on the market.
He thus called on the local justice system to sanction the people participating in this trafficking, while many often vital drugs are lacking on the market, announcing the arrest of certain importers of equipment and medical supplies, monopolies who abuse their prerogatives, according to him.
The drugs seized will be handed over to the Ministry of Health and redistributed to the population via the central quarantine pharmacy.
