Many petrol stations have closed their pumps in anticipation of another shortage after the union of petrol station owners noted that the unloading of tankers off the Lebanese coast has yet to be carried out.

In question, the delay taken by the Bank of Lebanon to grant the lines of credit necessary for the payment of the cargoes, notes Georges Brax, the president of this union.

For their part, the Lebanese authorities have started to check whether the reserves of the closed petrol stations are indeed empty and have already searched a number of them.
