Media sources indicate that a vehicle was hit by an Israeli strike on the Syrian side of the border between Lebanon and Syria, near the town of Hermel.
This bombardment would have taken place around 3:30 p.m. Israeli sources accuse the owners of this vehicle, a van, of transporting ammunition. On the Lebanese side, local sources report a smuggling operation and not a transport of ammunition.
This new incident comes the day after an attempted rocket fire by a group of Palestinians from southern Lebanon into northern Israel. These people, based in the Palestinian camp of Rachidiyeh south of Tire, were quickly arrested by the Internal Security Forces.
