Lebanese authorities say 33 people have died from complications from the coronavirus. 2,188 people were also diagnosed positive for the coronavirus including 2 deputies, Chawki Daccache and Imad Wakim, all 2 members of the Lebanese Forces, this the day after the announcement of the contamination of the leader of the FL Party, Samir Geagea , with whom they were probably in contact, some sources indicate.
In addition, the 3-day confinement also entered into force this Saturday. This is to avoid public family gatherings on the occasion of Easter and Eid el Fitr and thus limit as much as possible the COVID19 pandemic in Lebanon.
Religious gatherings will however be permitted under certain conditions, such as the fact that the number of people attending corresponds to only 30% of the maximum capacity of the place, respecting the distancing measures and the wearing of a mask.
The Lebanese authorities have also announced that an 8th batch of Pfizer vaccines, and more precisely 46,800 doses, arrived in Lebanon this Saturday, April 3 via Beirut International Airport.
An electronic certificate will also be set up, say the Lebanese authorities.

The ratio of positive tests remains high but decreases with the figure of 16.9 %.
How many people have been vaccinated?
1,777 people were vaccinated for the first time and 1,550 people received a second dose in the past 24 hours.
A total of 159,776 people received a first dose and 89,252 people received both doses.
