The president of the council of the medical order, Charaf Abou Charaf, estimated that Lebanon will have to live at least another 1 year with the COVID19 coronavirus while the number of cases continues to increase. This will mean maintaining the necessary measures to minimize damage and reduce the negative consequences for schoolchildren and students.

He also estimated that the confinement measures increase the number of “student psychological crises”. It is therefore necessary to allow the reopening of schools while maintaining preventive measures and to vaccinate the teaching staff, more particularly within the classes which classes which have to take the official exams.

These comments were made the day after the a recommendation by the coronavirus control committee reopening of schools. L The Minister of National Education Tarek Majzoub thus indicated that the official examinations at all levels will remain maintained from July 26, with the exception of the patent which should take place on July 12 under the supervision of the Ministry of National Education.
