The Ministry of the Economy has once again increased the price of a packet of bread which has now reached the symbolic threshold of 10,000 LL.
In bakeries, the 1035 gram packet of bread is sold to the consumer at 9500 LL, that of 840 grams at 8000 LL and that of 300 grams at 5000 LL.
For distributors, it will cost 8,250 LL per pack of 1035 grams, 6,700 LL per pack of 840 grams and 4,145 LL per pack of 300 grams. Distributors will be able to resell these packages respectively at 9,500 LL per pack of 1035 grams, 8,000 LL per pack of 840 grams and 5,000 LL per pack of 300 grams, in order to guarantee them a profit.
Finally, the packet of bread of 1,035 grams is thus sold by supermarkets and stores to consumers at 10,000 LL, that of 840 grams at 8,500 LL and that of 300 grams at 5,500 LL.
