The MEA received this Wednesday its 8th Airbus A321 neo registered T7-ME8 during a restricted ceremony which took place at Beirut International Airport.

7 other aircraft are still expected to enter service with the company. According to the information available, they are fitted out to accommodate 28 passengers in Business class and 132 in Economy, i.e. 160 passengers in total.

Of the 7 remaining aircraft, delivery will be delayed and should take place between 2023 and 2024. Officials from the national airline specify that aircraft financing remains competitive through the International Bank, a Chinese bank, despite the financial crisis in the state and the state of default, the MEA being a independent commercial company, although its main shareholder, Banque du Liban, has seen its available monetary reserves collapse in recent months.
