Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Hassan Diab government, Raymond Ghajar is said to be close to the Free Patriotic Movement (CPL) and thus succeeds Nada el Boustani.
He was vice president of the Institute of Human Resources at Lebanese American University (LAU) from 2005 to 2007, then Associate Dean of the Faculty of Engineering between 2013 and 2018 and Dean since 2019.
The Ministry of Energy is not unknown to him, he was an advisor to the Minister in 2008 and led a small team of experts in the field.
He is also a consultant and technical expert in Canada, the United States and the Middle East. He is also one of the names of energy experts at the World Bank.
Raymond Ghajar holds a BS in electrical engineering from the University of Ottawa in Canada, and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, still in Canada. Finally, he obtained a doctorate in the same field in 1993.
