Beirut, February 27, 2024: As part of its national and social commitment policy, the Association of Automobile Importers (AIA), representing global automotive manufacturers in Lebanon, has made an IT donation to the Traffic and Vehicles Management Authority. This donation follows a request from the President of the Authority, H.E. Judge Marwan Abboud, Governor of the City of Beirut. It includes a set of new computers, as well as printers and other IT tools. The donation was handed over to Colonel Eng. Khalid Youssef, interim head of the vehicles’ registration service.

This initiative by the Association stems from its concern to maintain the smooth operations of this vital public institution and to facilitate citizens’ transactions in order to protect their rights. It is worth mentioning that this endeavor is part of the continuation of similar actions taken by AIA in 2023, including its contribution to the lighting and printing costs of the Authority, as well as other donations aimed at helping the Authority reduce its financial burdens and continue its activities and fulfill its missions in the context of the crisis.

About the association: AIA brings together authorized representatives of all global automotive manufacturers in Lebanon. Since 1923, it has responsibly acted for regulating the market and importation of new vehicles in Lebanon, leveraging the experience of its member companies to serve consumers, ensuring their protection and safety while contributing to sector development.
