Some studies indicate that 40% of the Lebanese population is now immune to the COVID19 coronavirus. This immunity would have been induced or by contamination, with, according to the latest official report, more than 530,000 people having been affected, or by vaccination.
This information comes at a time when the latest report shows 442,293 people having received a first dose and 225,608 people having received the 2 doses.
According to the outgoing Minister of Health, Hamad Hassan, this rate should even reach 75% in August with the massive arrival of vaccines in Lebanon.
