A report published last February indicates that 53% of the Lebanese population will be ready to be vaccinated in Lebanon itself.
Among the 47% of people who oppose it, 48% say they fear the side effects of vaccination and 39% believe they lack confidence in the health authorities.
On the vaccine side, if the vast majority of people who answered the questionnaires indicated that they had no preference, the one that received the most favorable opinion was the one developed by Pfizer-BioHTech with 18% of respondents. Then follow the Chinese vaccine SinoPharm with 4% of respondents. Then follow the Russian vaccine Sputnik and the AstraZeneca and Moderna vaccines with 2% each.
A total of 153,238 people received a first dose and 84,511 people received both doses.
1,038,692 people have indicated that they wish to be vaccinated so far, of which 461,326 have indicated that they have chronic illnesses.
