Different centers are stormed this Saturday, following the decision of the Ministry of Health to allow the population to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine without an appointment. This decision was paradoxically taken because of the refusal of many people to take this vaccine subject to a controversy as to its dangerousness via the electronic platform of the Ministry of Health.
The outgoing Minister of Health himself Hamad Hassan received a first dose of vaccine in Baalbeck. He therefore considered that this decision aims to allow the return to a normal life and thus to the economic recovery encouraging as many people as possible to take the AstraZeneca vaccine and describing the Sputnik and Sinopharm vaccines as being equally safe and effective.
