Le Hezbollah pourrait se détacher du mouvement Amal et ne pas nommer l’ancien premier ministre Saad Hariri comme prochain locataire du Grand Sérail, indiquent certaines sources, rejoignant ainsi la position de son allié du Courant Patriotique Libre, des Forces Libanaises ou encore du Parti Socialiste Progressiste.
Cette information intervient alors que demain, devraient débuter les consultations parlementaires obligatoires menées par la Présidence de la République, en vue de nommer le prochain premier ministre.
La formation d’un possible gouvernement par Saad Hariri semble aussi être difficile, les partis politiques ainsi que la Présidence de la République elle-même s’interrogeant sur la capacité de ce dernier à former un cabinet de spécialistes apolitiques en appartenant lui-même à la classe politique.
Au centre-ville, un face à face tendu entre sympathisants de l’ancien premier ministre et partisans de la révolution – qui dénoncent la candidature de ce dernier – a également eu lieu. Des individus ont incendié le symbole de la révolution, qui était installé place des martyrs.
Le Courant du Futur a dénoncé ces personnes et appelé au calme alors que les forces de sécurité intérieure indiquent avoir arrêté 4 personnes impliquées dans cet incident.
Pour rappel, Saad Hariri avait démissionné le 29 octobre 2019, suite à d’importantes manifestations. Les protestataires dénonçaient déjà la classe politique accusée de corruption et d’avoir mené le Pays des Cèdres à la quasi-faillite financière.
