Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri returned to Lebanon on Wednesday in Lebanon after a stopover in the United Arab Emirates as part of a private visit.
Sources close to him indicate that the prime minister-designate would be willing to amend his first draft Cabinet list of 18 apolitical specialists to now include 24 members in accordance with the initiative of chamber president Nabih Berri. However, he would still accuse the President of the Republic of wanting to obtain a blocking third party, which the latter denies.
Saad Hariri should also speak with the Maronite patriarch who visited the head of state earlier this week.
In addition, the Free Patriotic Current counterattacked this weekend, believing that the Prime Minister-designate must present a complete Cabinet formula in accordance with constitutional rules, those of the National Pact and known methodology.
