The Prime Minister recalled that his previous government had adopted a document on youth whose main objectives were to promote education, specialization, economic empowerment, skills development and active citizenship.

He admitted, however, that the COVID19 epidemic has had a hard impact on young people. “the importance of the well-being and mental health of young people in responding to COVID-19 and recovering from the epidemic”, a crisis which has been added to the already financial, economic and social crises already present. An action plan is currently being developed to respond to this.

Najib Mikati reiterated his call for the organization of legislative elections on time, ” an opportunity for the youth of Lebanon to speak their word and determine their options in accordance with their vision to engage in the national workshop of desired rescue

The Prime Minister also calls on them not to consider emigration as the only solution for their future.
