In an interview with the National News Agency, the representative of the fuel distributors, Fadi Abu Shakra, indicated that the owners of these petrol stations wish to protest against the current circumstances, « including extortion and beatings ». , allusions to the incidents which are currently taking place in front of their establishments and whereas the Lebanese justice indicated wanting to open an investigation. It targets in particular various petrol stations accused of having stored fuel and refusing to sell it to motorists pending the end of the subsidy program.
