The Litani Authority says it has saved the Public Treasury $ 40 million

The Litani office said it saved the Public Treasury $ 40 million last year through the production of 408 million kilowatts per hour resold to Electricité du Liban at 60 pounds per kilowatt, despite a year 2021 described as little rain.

Thus, only 190 million cubic meters of water were poured into Lake Qaraoun, in the Bekaa Valley, against an annual average of 300 million cubic meters.

The institution indicates that this performance was achieved because of the good maintenance of its facilities but also by the dedication of its staff despite the circumstances currently described as difficult.
