The United States delivered a total of 336,000 doses of Johnson & Johnson vaccines this Sunday while 277,340 doses of Moderna-type vaccine are also expected in Lebanon, indicates the United States Embassy in Lebanon as part of the COVAX program aimed at limiting the COVID19 coronavirus pandemic in Lebanon. .

As a reminder, only one dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine is necessary. 336,000 will thus be able to benefit from it, whereas the Moderna vaccine requires, like the Pfizer vaccine, which is an mRNA vaccine, a double dose.

This is to support « the Lebanese government’s national vaccination strategy against the COVID-19 pandemic, saving lives and ensuring the path of economic recovery and the long-term stability of its health system », specifies the communicated.
