Some sources accuse the exclusive agents of these milk brands of not supplying the markets in anticipation of an imminent devaluation of the Lebanese pound against the dollar.
This information comes at a time when the Lebanese pound is at an all-time low against the greenback with the likely end of the subsidy program for the purchase of basic necessities due to the lack of available monetary reserves from the Bank of Lebanon. The latter have so far funded this programme.
