NNA – Head of the Democratic Gathering, MP Taymour Jumblatt, highlighted the need to hold the parliamentary elections on their constitutional dates, whatever the circumstances, emphasizing the need to stop all tension and stances targeting the judiciary and security forces due to their negative impact on internal stability and the work of institutions.
Jumblatt’s words came during his meeting with members of civil and municipal delegations who visited him at Al-Mukhtara Palace earlier today, raising their service needs and general demands.
Addressed the prevailing crises, the MP underlined “the need for the government to complete the economic recovery plan, focus on daily-living, social, health and educational matters, and alleviate the impact of collapse on citizens.”
Additionally, Jumblatt touched on the annual state budget, calling for “applying fairness in taxation and sparing the underprivileged groups any further burdens,” hoping that the necessary reform ambiences, starting with electricity issue, will be secured in order to finalize the required negotiations with the International Monetary Fund.
